    @anno @Network Dummy

    It is definitely IGMP filtering.

IGMP snooping is a protocol that learns and maintains multicast group membership at the Layer 2 level.

IGMP filtering allows users to configure filters on a switch virtual interface (SVI), a per-port, or a per-port per-VLAN basis to control the propagation of IGMP traffic through the network.

IGMP traffic filters control the access of a port to multicast traffic. Access can be restricted based on the following:

•Which multicast groups or channels can be joined on a port. Channels are joined by IGMPv3 hosts that specify both the group and the source of the multicast traffic.

•Maximum number of groups or channels allowed on a specific port or interface (regardless of the number of hosts requesting service).

•IGMP protocol versions (for example, disallow all IGMPv1 messages).

When you enter an IGMP filtering command, a user policy is applied to a Layer 3 SVI interface, a Layer 2 port, or a particular VLAN on a Layer 2 trunk port. The Layer 2 port may be an access port or a trunk port. The IGMP filtering features will work only if IGMP snooping is enabled (either on the interface or globally).

IGMP filtering is typically used in access switches connected to end-user devices in Ethernet-to-home deployment scenarios.

Great. Thanks @Ajax. Now for my other question::

Why shouldn’t this be option C (single topology IS-IS)?
    Q 131
Refer to the exhibit. What type of IS-IS is configured on R1?
    A.VRF-aware IS-IS
    B.multi-process IS-IS
    C.single-topology IS-IS
    D.IS-IS version 2
    Answer:D

  5. Ajax
    March 9th, 2017

I believe it is single topology too. Because, they are asking for type of ISIS configuration.

If you are using IS-IS single-topology support for IPv6, IPv4, or both IPv6 and IPv4, you may configure both IPv6 and IPv4 on an IS-IS interface for Level 1, Level 2, or both Level 1 and Level 2. However, if both IPv6 and IPv4 are configured on the same interface, they must be running the same IS-IS level. That is, IPv4 cannot be configured to run on IS-IS Level 1 only on a specified Ethernet interface while IPv6 is configured to run IS-IS Level 2 only on the same Ethernet interface.

    http://www.cisco.com/c/en/us/td/docs/ios-xml/ios/ipv6/configuration/15-2mt/ipv6-15-2mt-book/ip6-is-is.html#GUID-76B49B6B-CFEA-47E1-B026-135E526341C7

ISIS Version 2 guidelines cover the features to be covered when implementing the extensions.

The Cisco IOS XR implementation of IS-IS conforms to the IS-IS Version 2 specifications detailed in RFC 1195 and the IPv6 IS-IS functionality based on the Internet Engineering Task Force (IETF) IS-IS Working Group draft-ietf-isis-ipv6.txt document.
The following list outlines key features supported in the Cisco IOS XR implementation:
    • Single topology IPv6
    • Multitopology
    • Nonstop forwarding (NSF), both Cisco proprietary and IETF
    • Three-way handshake
    • Mesh groups
    • Multiple IS-IS instances
    • Configuration of a broadcast medium connecting two networking devices as a point-to-point link
    • Fast-flooding with different threads handling flooding and shortest path first (SPF).

I am really confused on this one. C is for sure correct too. I just labbed this with exact same config & did Wireshark capture. This answer is certainly wrong. The IS-IS is setting Version 1 & Version2 also as 1. Does anyone else know a better explanation to decide between C & D?

your link provides the answer: wide

Set up a routing protocol for the MPLS network. It must be a link-state protocol (IS-IS or OSPF). In the routing protocol configuration mode, enter:
    For IS-IS:
    metric-style wide (or metric-style both)
    mpls traffic-eng router-id LoopbackN
    mpls traffic-eng [level-1 | level-2 |]

Which IPv4 feature prevents multicast joins on a per-port basis? IGMP snooping or IGMP filtering
    GPMP snooping.
Answer: IGMP filtering!allows users to configure filters on a switch virtual interface (SVI), a per-port, or a per-port per-VLAN basis to control the propagation of IGMP traffic through the network.

    A. NHRP shortens the configuration of the hub router.
B.NHRP dynamically provides information about the spoke routers to the hub.

    @ Jermey about IS-IS: Answer:D -> NOK; It’s C

To enable multi-topology is needed: R(c-af)#multi-topology

I don’t find any ISIS V2: The IS-IS protocol was developed in the late 1980s by Digital Equipment Corporation (DEC) and was standardized by the International Standards Organization (ISO) in ISO/IEC 10589. The current version of this standard is ISO/IEC 10589:2002.

    Hi Guys,
    Q171 of Spoto:

When you implement the EIGRP add-path feature, which configuration can cause routing issues on a DMVPN circuit?

    a. Disabling ECMP mode under the EIGRP process
    b. disabling automatic summarization
    c. enabling next-hop-self under the process
    d. enabling synchronization under the EIGRP process
    e. disabling default variance under the EIGRO process
f disabling NHRP when deploying EIGRP over DMVPN.

Spoto correct answer is reported to be E.
But, don’t you think that also C is a valid answer? I mean, by default when you configure EIGRP with add-paths in DMVPN you have to disable next-hop-self and not touch variance to not cause troubles… what is your opinion? Why E should be the valid answer?
