Passed with 813. I used Passleader CCIE version 15.1 as a study guide. Only about 50 percent were on the test. The latest verison 17 has 1315 questions on. Best to really know your stuff when taking the exam because you might not get what is on the dumps.

whoever can do this without a dump I give props too, but I’m not going to pay 400 dollars over, especially if the material isn’t in the official certification guide.

    Hi,
    from pass4sure:
Which two Cisco Express Forwarding tables are located in the data plane?
    Correct answers:
    -the adjacency table
    -the forwarding information base

Is different as SPOTO. What do you think is correct ?

    Another one:

R1 and R2 advertise 10.50.1.0/24 to R3 and R4 as shown.R1 is the primary path. Which
path does traffic take from the data center to the file server?
    Correct answer:
-All traffic travels from R4 to R2 to the files server.

Another mismatch. What do you think is correct ?

  10. Superkknd

It will take shortest as path to the last bgp router then to server.

From Vlad’s correction pdf, i have different answer :

    6. Which two Cisco Express Forwarding tables are located in the data plane? (Choose two)
    a) The label forwarding information base
    b) The forwarding information base
    c) The label information table
    d) The IP routing table
    e) The adjacency table
    Answer: BE ====> AE(correct)

I think for data plane the answer should be A and E. LFIB an adjacency tables are in data plane.
The FIB and routing table are same thing and are control plane .

    Any comments?

    Interesting information…

I think it’s going to be LIB and FIB

CEF is a forwarding plane cisco proprietary protocol to determine which connection a packet will forwarded to.

    LIB = Label Information Base
    FIB = Forwarding Information Base

Which are both used by CEF to determine where the packet will be forwarded . Adjacency Table is stored in the RIB (Routing Information Base) which I believe is in the Control Plane.

So i think the answer is LIB and FIB

  24. Superkknd
    February 27th, 2017

LFIB I mean… Label forward information base.
To use MPLS, CEF is a requirement.

    Q 171
When you implement the EIGRP add-paths feature, which
configuration can cause routing issues on a DMVPN circuit?
    A. disabling ECMP mode underthe EIGRP process.
    B. disabling automatic summarization
    C. enabling next-hop-self under the EIGRP process.
    D. enabling synchronization under the EIGRP process
    E. disabling the default variance underthe EIGRP process
    F. disabling NHRP when deploying EIGRP over DMVPN
    Answer: E

    I got another one =)

eigrp add path feature.. looking at the configurations examples on cisco it mentions this :

    Device(config)# router eigrp name
    Device(config-router-af-interface)# no next-hop-self no-ecmp-mode
    xxx
    xxx
    xxx

the answer regarding this question tells us its the variance command and you shouldnt diable the default variance.. but.. you dont touch it nothing will happen.. wont you need no next hop self command.. or is this probably off by default as well?

  33. Singh
    February 27th, 2017

    Yes i agree with wazup.

FIB is cef table is in data plane . I misunderstood it to be RIB.

Since question does not talk about mpls and labels .

The answer would be as Vlad …FIB and adjacency table.

  34. spoto
    February 27th, 2017

    Singh

the answer should be LFIB and FIB

got another question regardin PFR.. where.. I dont really see the logic if someones feels like explaning please do:

Refer to the exhibit. Which statement is true?
    A. The Cisco PfR state is UP; however, the external interface
Et0/1 of border router 10.1.1.1 has exceeded the maximum
    available bandwidth threshold.
    B. The Cisco PfR state is UP; however, an issue is preventing
the border router from establishing a TCP session to the
    master controller.
    C. The Cisco PfR state is UP and is able to monitor traffic flows;
however, MD5 authentication has not been successful
between the master controller and the border routers.
    D. The Cisco PfR State is UP; however, the receive capacity was
    not configured for inbound traffic.
    E. The Cisco PfR state is UP, and the link utilization
out-of-policy threshold is set to 90 percent for traffic exiting

the answer given here is E.. but where in the output do you see anything about 90 percent trafici exiting?

    hmm came across something else

I have set up vss a few times.. always with the switches right next to each other.. but is this actually a must?.. or could they be .. set far apart.. as long as they are managed by one ip? (and the nessacarry cabling in between? .. I am not saying its practical.. I am just thinking about this.. when it comes to this question

Which two statements about VSS are true?(Choose two)
    A. It requires physical switches to be collocated.
    B. It is dependent on spanning-tree.
    C. Each VSS has a single management IP address.
    D. It requires three IP addresses per VLAN.
    E. It can eliminate the need for HSRP
    Answer:CE
